Adventure among the trees! Picture it. One little Toyota zipping across Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina. And there I sat, between oohing and awing over the gorgeousness of trees turning vibrant colors and white-knuckling it through the freeways of Nashville, plotting out new books. I finally worked through the details of the second Argosy Junction book, and I determined that the title is definitely Argosy Crossroads.

But the most fun thing was trying to decide what to do with Wynnewood. I’ve always wanted to write a “Wynnewood… the continuing years” kind of thing–more adventures about the other village kids–maybe Letty, Angus, and Liam. I wanted a trilogy, anyway. But then… then I got to Aurelia.
Everything exploded. I kept coming up with these new ideas. How Aurelia could just do …. this! And then she could do… that!
I think I’m ready to make Aurelia happen. I can’t tell you how excited I am for those stories. But, unfortunately, there’s no way I can possibly do it before I do the other trilogy. Why? Aurelia is much older in this one–almost a young woman!
And that means I need to really nail down which kids and which plots I need to do for the other series. This, of course, is a totally different kind of adventure. Letty? Liam? Angus? Aubrey? I have to decide!
EEEP!
Letty’s plan is fixed. I know what I want for it, and I’m excited. I have a general idea about one for Liam, but Aubrey…. not so much. So do I want to only write about familiar kids in the village , or should I consider adding a new character or two? I don’t know. I’m confused. I’m excited, though. I can’t wait to share the adventures in store. Will they save the castle? Where is Lord Morgan? And what is Letty doing in the Scedeau? Dah, Dah, Dah, DUM!!!
So…. What do I do? What do you think? And do you even look forward to more Wynnewood like I do, or are you ambivalent?
So, have you read Wynnewood?

I really enjoyed the Wynnewood trilogy. I just finished re-reading your ‘grown-up’ fiction and was about to go back and re-read the fantasy / youth books, starting here!
Without fail, I learn something about myself in all of your books, some I like, other things that I need to change.

I have read the whole Wynnewood series so far. It was interesting and good, but not my favorite.
