The Rockland Chronicles began with Ready or Not even though that wasn’t the first book published.  As I wrote the story of Aggie’s inheritance, I created a town and a thriving metropolis near that town.  No city of my acquaintance had the feel that I wanted, so Rockland began development.  By the time Noble Pursuits was in progress, the second town–Brunswick– was added to the Rockland Loop.  Before long, I had quite a few towns in what became known as “The Greater Rockland Area.”

My characters refuse to step aside once their story is told.  Grace, Willow, Aggie, Paige, Hope…  One or more of them appear in most of the books in the Rockland Chronicles.
