Using story to connect YOU to the Master Storyteller

Disclosure and Policies

If you have questions about things like guest posting or the kinds of links I share, this disclosure and policies page should help with those kinds of questions.

Disclosure: Some links on this website may be affiliate links, and as such, I may receive compensation from the retailer indicated for linking to their product.

Note:  I DO NOT link to products that I do not recommend. I may mention them, but if there is no link, I either forgot or there is a reason I chose not to recommend it.

Policies

If you’re curious about guest posting, commenting, email, or other policies, you’ll find them here. I tried to keep them simple, straightforward, and free of legalese.

Commenting:

Comments are not only welcome on this site, they’re encouraged on every post.  If you see that comments aren’t turned on for a particular post, please zip me an email at [email protected]. I’ll be happy to take a look at it.

That said, I do have a couple of limitations.  Keep it clean (no foul language or smutty/violent word pictures), and friendly.  Feel free to disagree with another commenter, but do not attack the person.  Be kind.

Email:

I have two email categories to address.  First.  When you email me, I USUALLY get right back to you.  If I have a book releasing soon (or if I’ve decided to do something crazy like add filters that only end up losing all the good emails and keeping the extraneous), it might take a day or a week.  But most of the time, it’s within 24 hours.

And, when you share your email with me (either by direct emailing or through my newsletter), that email is kept safe.  I do not share it, even with people who I know should have it without your permission.

Advertising:

I only accept very limited amounts of advertising at a time and only things directly related to this site. So Christian fiction authors are welcome to submit their book, a 1-3  line synopsis, and request a spot in my blog sidebar.  I will only accept one at a time and only those books that I think my readership will enjoy.

Guest Posts:

I absolutely welcome guest posts! Suggested ideas are:

  • Authors- Posts about your writing process on a particular book, character reviews, your dream review, your research on a particular book, why you write Christian fiction, et cetera are all welcome.
  • Guest Bloggers Welcom

Reviewers- Love to review books but don’t want the hassle of a website?  Would you like to get your feet wet but aren’t sure?  Want to be on a launch team but you don’t have time for regular blogging?  Submit your book review proposal to me.  Tell me the book, the Amazon-equivalent star rating (loved, liked, okay, didn’t like, hated) and we’ll see what we can do!

  • Christian Living-  I’ll consider any topics related to the Christian life and practical applications for the reader to apply. I do require that distinction be made between Biblical principles and the methods of applying them. Posts elevating method over principle (requiring the wearing of purple socks over the need to keep your feet warm, so to speak) will not be accepted as written.
  • The Christian fiction industry- Any posts about Christian fiction and the direction of the industry that would be interesting and relevant to readers rather than just other authors would be perfect.

Please use this form to submit your guest post proposal:

[contact-form to=’[email protected]’ subject=’Guest Post Proposal’][contact-field label=’Name’ type=’name’ required=’1’/][contact-field label=’Email’ type=’email’ required=’1’/][contact-field label=’Website’ type=’url’/][contact-field label=’Comment’ type=’textarea’ required=’1’/][/contact-form]

Taking the pulse of Christian fiction

Episode 520: A Chat with R. M. Ruiz
byChautona Havig

I love R. M. Ruiz’s passion for Jesus and good, uplifting and encouraging fiction for kids. Listen in as we learn how the Chosen Kids go to New York for their next mission.

note: links may be affiliate links that provide me with a small commission at no extra expense to you.

We chatted about the books, of course, and how each one has its own focus–the kids and the missions and the locations. I can’t wait for this one.

The Chosen Kids Encounter at Mahattan: by R. M. Ruiz

The Chosen Kids return for a new mission!

In Book Four of The Chosen Kids Saga, the kids embark on a new operation filled with wonder, suspense, and heartwarming moments. One where they come to understand what it means to be Christ-like in an unfriendly world.

A shadow is creeping over the Big Apple.

For their latest mission, the Chosen Kids are sent into the heart of New York to rescue a missing loved one. When the family discovers the evil being that holds the key, they follow the creature through the concrete jungle in hopes that it leads them to its captive. Fascinated by the colorful sights and sounds of Manhattan, Caiden and the kids struggle to stay focused. Except the city isn’t all it seems, and trouble pops up wherever they go. With time running out, and no sign of their lost person, the family changes tactics and soon uncovers the fiend’s identity and its diabolical scheme. Following the Holy Spirit’s guidance, the Kids set a bold plan into action. But if they don’t hold fast to the truth of Jesus, they could fall prey to the monster’s wicked tricks, and the key to their mission will be lost.

Grab a copy for your young believer to continue the redemptive journey today.

Learn more about the series, the characters, and Rosemary at TheChosenKids.com and follow her on GoodReads and BookBub.

Scott Keil's mission work tends to overtake both his and his daughter's life. So when his daughter ropes Natalie Dersham to help out, he's thrilled. When she starts playing matchmaker... well... okay, he's kind of thrilled about that, too. The age gap? Probably prohibitive but if it wasn't...
