Episode 57: A Chat with Women's Fiction Author Cynthia Ruchti
by Chautona Havig

One of the best ways to temper the heaviness of a book dealing with hard subjects is the judicious use of humor.  Cynthia Ruchti is a new author to me (forgive my stupidity, won’t you?) but the brilliant use of humor to open this novel set up a beautiful way to see the personality of a character before her world was turned upside down–genius.

Facing the Dawn should be on every women’s fiction lover’s “next to read” list or at the top of the tottering TBR piles.

This July, the first of the Ever After Mysteries r This July, the first of the Ever After Mysteries release! Classic mysteries take place in the 1920s in these fairytale-inspired books!

First up: The Last Gasp, a Cinderella-inspired mystery where cigarillo girl, Lucinda Ashton sells "gaspers" (cigarettes) and candy at the Taj Mahal Theater not far from where Sid Grauman is building his (soon to be) famous Chinese Theater.

Find out whodunnit and why this July!  An affiliate preorder link is in my bio and you want to snag this one on preorder because it's only .99 until release week!

Other fairytales set in this series are Jack and the Beanstalk, The Nightingale, East of the Sun and West of the Moon, The Lost Princess, The Little Mermaid, Rumplestilskin, and The Nutcracker
