Ever Wonder Who Wins Giveaways with What Entries?

by Chautona Havig · 2 Comments

Well, I’m going to tell you this time. I’m going to tell you what entries became the winning entries! I mean, why not?  It’s fun information, right? I mean, did your newsletter sign-up get you the prize? What number was it?  Were you the first entry?  The last?  A generic middle?

who wins

(Note:: links in this post may be affiliate links and I’ll receive a small commission at no extra expense to you.)

So… let’s look at the three winners of the I Heart You Collection.

I mean we have three winners.  Who won?  Why?  Let’s check it out.

Winner #1: Rosetta
Entry Method: Comment Form  (I make my husband a nice dinner and we spend the time together enjoying each others company.)
Entry Number: 1316

Winner #2: Sarah
Entry Method: Email (the first thing you do to start the entries!)
Entry Number: 518

Winner #3:  Julie
Entry Method: “Other” (it doesn’t tell me which one)
Entry Number: 324

I want to point something out.

Look at “Other.”  That one.  Have you ever wondered, “Who wins with an ‘other’ entry?”  Well… Julie did!  Those little things do make a difference sometimes!  So, if you wonder if it’s worth the time?  Well, any one of these people could have been that number one winner.  So yes! I think it’s totally worth it.

So what won the whole box?

Grand Prize Winner: Elizabeth G
Entry Method: Twitter Follow
Entry Number: 1672

Just a simple Twitter follow!  And it was LATE in the game.  According to PromoSimple, there were 1602 entries.  Why it says that Elizabeth was Entry 1672?  I have NO clue.  But it did.

I used the Random.org option within the widget, and it spat out these names. That’s it.  That’s all I did.  And it chose the winners. It’s so cool!!!

Did you see the other cool thing?  I have never seen this happen before, but look at those numbers. They’re all even numbers.  I’m pretty sure that has never happened.

congratulations

There you have it! Who wins these things?  These guys did!  Congrats all!

Book winners, please contact me with the email address you’d like your book sent to.  Elizabeth, check your email!  I’ll be asking for your address!

UPDATE:

According to the spreadsheet of individual entries, there are 1845.  So I don’t know where PromoSimple came up with 1602 in the dashboard, but considering number 1672 won, I think the 1845 is much more accurate.

I wasn’t sure if you got my email. I was excited to see I was one of the winners in your Valentine contest. You are one of my favorite authors. My daughter Jennifer got me hooked on your books. Always look forward to the next book coming. Thank you, Rosetta Miles

How often does Biblical fiction go back in time... How often does Biblical fiction go back in time... before time? Not often in my experience, but Jill Eileen Smith's Daughter of Eden takes a bold step to imagine the creation of the angels... of even Michael the Archangel! Listen in while we chat about Eden, Eve, her children, and the war between those banished from heaven and those who remained to protect those made in God's image.
