I wanted to take things back several episodes and give everyone a chance to catch up to where we are with HearthLand. So, this week, we’re going to give away Episodes 19 and 20. Episode 19 will be free all day today (Monday), and Episode 20 will be free tomorrow (Tuesday).
In Episode 19: Wedding plans have taken over HearthLand, and it seems almost everyone is getting into the spirit of things–to the delight of some and disapproval of others. Ralph has an idea to solve Annie’s problems, but she isn’t convinced. But just as everything seems right with the world, everything goes wrong.
In Episode 20: The vandalism doesn’t end with Kate and Janie’s place, and The Agency’s theory appears to be incomplete. The residents “mother” Ralph a bit as he endures forced “recuperation” and instead, drive him crazy.
Ramiro and Susannah talk to Kirk and things get dicey. Fireworks explode in several directions, and leave everyone wondering what sparks were ignited by them!
These episodes are my gift to you. It’s kind of a side “hobby” of mine, if you will. I enjoy bringing these characters to life, and you get to enjoy them for free on a weekly basis. I truly hope you enjoy them.
For those who are Kobo or Nook readers, email me. I’ve got you covered.

I’m trying to find the next part of Hearthland. You sent me links? Which were on my phone. So I’m hoping to get book 3. Can’t figure this out. I usually use my nook. Thanks for any help you can give me. Love Willow and need to keep following the story. Blessings and have a great day.

Did you get them? I know I sent stuff the other day, but I was away from home, so I don’t trust the connection.

I finished Prairie a couple of days ago and saw a sequel at the end. Will there be a sequel? I would love one, since I loved Prairie. There was one part of Prairie that I didn’t quite understand though. You said that Santa and the birth of Christ were intertwined. That bothered me since Santa is a lie, an inanimate being who takes away from the birth of Christ – and has, over time been given the attributes of God Himself, thus making him (Santa) a false god (rather than keeping him the man he had been originally patterned after Saint Nicholas, who simply gave gifts to the poor children.) Anyway, despite that, I loved the story and would love a sequel!

That was kind of the point. She was trying to explain to people who had no cultural connection to “Santa” why he was connected to Jesus. She couldn’t do it. The fact that they are connected in her former culture (our culture) can’t be disputed (people even have Santa kneeling before Jesus in nativity sets to show the real balance of things). However, the point was that to people outside our culture who don’t know the origins and how they’ve shifted from respecting a godly man who tried to help the poor to something utterly unconnected with Christ it, would be confusing. And it was. And she didn’t really understand that it would be until she tried to do it. I guess the short version is, I agree with you. Santa and Jesus aren’t TRULY intertwined… but they are in our culture, and that’s something that we should be concerned with.

And yes, I’m expecting to release the next book in the series (not really a sequel–more of a sister book) this year.
