Or, otherwise known as, “A Week in the Life of Chautona Havig.” Yep! That’s right! (pretend to be excited, will ya?) This coming week, with one day delays (we hope only one day), I’m gonna share just what life is like for this girl! The fun, the boring, and well… the ordinary (which equals chaos in this family).
I’ve been asked for this so many times, and I always think, “When I get a normal week, I should do that.” Um… yeah. Right. HA! Normal. *collapses on the floor in helpless laughter, clutching a package of Depends for dear life* So, I thought, “At least, if I do it now, it’ll be DONE. You know, I’m into that “done” thing, so let’s go with it.
Tentatively my calendar looks like this:
Monday (posted on Tuesday and so forth): My birthday! So I’m spending it in a fun way I can’t wait to share!
Tuesday: When I planned this, I was going out of town, but alas and alack… I’m not now! So who knows what I’ll be doing besides cooking ahead for the family and pounding away on Carol and the Belles (oh, and editing. You’re gonna see a lot of EXCITING editing going on. *snort*)?
Wednesday: Making gifts for my fellow Writer’s Retreat attendees and editing…
Thursday: Oh… probably some housecleaning or editing or writing, or editing, or cooking or…
Friday: Packing, shopping, getting the rental car, heading out of town at 3:00 a.m. so I can avoid LA traffic on the way to the airport!
All subject to change without notice. As you can see, it’ll be rip-roaring fun. I mean, so absolutely terrifyingly awesome and exciting that you’ll collapse from boredom overstimulation at the end of each blog post. Yeah. *rolls eyes*
So stay tuned for Tuesday morning’s post about Monday!

This is too funny! I have decided that my life will never be Ordinary!!! How could it be?! I have 4 teenagers and two wannabes!!! I homeschool but no two days look alike!!! I am busy all the time! I am going on my second missions trip of the year next week and gasp…I’m not taking any of my own kids! (I did for spring break, though.) But I will be Mom to 4 other teens and a 20-year-old! Yep! Your ordinary life is why I enjoy reading your books. I can relate. And when I can’t relate, your writing sheds insight into other people so that I can better put their glasses on or walk in their shoes for awhile. I’m looking forward to these posts!!!
