Picture it. A small living room. Half a dozen people–maybe a dozen. Laughter booms out at random intervals. And woe to the one who lays down his or her cards first. Someone goes back for seconds and finds the pot or pan empty. Everyone blames Ethan. They’re not wrong. He might be in his twenties now, but he’s still the bottomless pit that he became in his late teens.
“How about Bananagrams?”
Someone else suggests Code Names.
When Master Detective Clue gets a bid, everyone agrees. Right as someone else suggests ice cream.
The debates begin again, and I have to say… I love it. Sometimes I remember how sure I was that I never wanted to get married and have children and laugh. Times like this… I just thank God that He didn’t give me my way.
You know, some people love to go on vacations together. Others like to attend concerts or go camping. Havigs… we have a meal and play games. Usually with random bursts of singing and way too many Dad jokes told by more than just the dad in the house.

What Would Make a Tropical Vacation More Exciting? Find Out!
So… what is this game stuff all about and why am I talking about “tropical vacations” all of a sudden? Well… In Tropical Target, Noa’s mother cooks meals for her family, even though they’re adults. Do you and your family get together regularly? What do you do? Watch a movie? Have a meal?
Tropical Target by Jennifer Pierce
Being accused of murdering a client isn’t good for business.
Tropical islands are popular for destination weddings. But Le Cadeau Île won’t be a popular destination for long if Detective Noa Tanielu can’t find out who is responsible for a ring of thefts occurring during weddings. When the thefts escalate to the murder of a bridezilla, the most likely suspect is the new wedding photographer.
Wedding photographer Haley Marsh moved to the island to nurse her broken heart and start over after being dumped two days before her wedding. When she’s moved from the suspect list to the target list, a little white lie leads to a fake engagement. With Haley’s connections to the wedding business, it’s clear the key to solving this case lies in keeping up the charade.
Noa and Haley must navigate the investigation and Noa’s mother’s attempts to make the engagement all too real…if they survive that is.
