Using story to connect YOU to the Master Storyteller

Penelope's Launch team

Authors love readers (I mean, yeah. Duh!).  And we really love it when readers love our books (again, duh!). So, when it’s time to launch a new book out into the world, we want as many people who might enjoy that book to find out about it.  And we need help to do it.

Penelope’s Pursuit releases February 28, 2021 (yikes!) and I’m looking for a few great readers to help spread the word.

What is a launch team?

Well, not to put too fine a point on it, but it’s a team of readers that help launch that book…

Okay, I’ll be a bit more forthcoming than that.

See, I already have an AMAZING launch team of a couple dozen people who help me. But each book needs a few dedicated people who are excited about that specific book and are willing to devote a little bit of time each week leading up to and a few weeks after the launch.

At the end of the launch, we’ll close out that team and form the next one, so you’re only committing to a few minutes a week for about six weeks.  We’re trying to keep it as easy as possible so we’re not making it feel like a burden instead of a blessing.  We’ll ask that you do things like “ask your library to get a copy of the audiobook” or “share this image on Facebook today” or whatever.

During launch week, we’ll ask that you post a 2-3 sentence (more if you prefer but we’re only asking for a short one) review telling readers why they might want to read this book.  That’s IT.

What’s in it for you?

Well, I hope a LOT!  As part of the team you’ll get:

  • An ebook copy of Penelope’s Pursuit
  • The chance to win paperbacks of Penelope’s Pursuit and ebooks of others in the series (each book stands alone, though)
  • The chance to win prizes such as gift cards, gifts related to the book, etc. in our Team Facebook Group
  • Fun and encouragement

What’s in it for me?

  • A review of Penelope’s Pursuit. By signing up, you are agreeing to review the book if at all possible
  • Help spreading the word about the book
  • A chance to get to know some of my readers even better and learn what you need from me in future books.

Again, this is a single, one-book commitment. You’re welcome to sign up for as many or as few as you like.  I won’t be personally choosing the members to avoid my terrible habit of accepting EVERYONE who asks (yes, yes I do this).  We want this to be simple for all and to do that, we do need to keep it limited.

PLEASE. If you aren’t selected for this team, don’t let that discourage you from applying for the next one. We’re eager to have everyone but… well.. yeah.

What’s the book about, though?

Well, here it is!

Penelope’s Pursuit

I’m sold!  How do I apply?

Simple. Just fill out this form.  My launch team coordinator will be in contact with you by January 15th letting you know if you were accepted this time or if you need to apply for the next book.  Thank you for your interest!

"I like free books and prizes" is a perfectly acceptable reason. Don't be shy!
Having been on launch teams (mine or others') is not a requirement. If you haven't been on one, please just type "none."
This might be something like, "I really liked this about the book. This other part wasn't my favorite, but I liked how it was resolved in the end. I recommend this book for people who like xyz sorts of books"
Blog is not required. This is for informational purposes.
If you don't have one, please put "none."

How often does Biblical fiction go back in time... How often does Biblical fiction go back in time... before time? Not often in my experience, but Jill Eileen Smith's Daughter of Eden takes a bold step to imagine the creation of the angels... of even Michael the Archangel! Listen in while we chat about Eden, Eve, her children, and the war between those banished from heaven and those who remained to protect those made in God's image.
