I may never have read anything by Natalie Walters before this interview, but I promptly bought her first book and listened the moment the interview ended. Author of the recently released, Lights Out, Natalie writes romantic suspense that holds you riveted to the page (or your listening device if you choose the audiobook–highly recommended) and won’t let you go until the last word.
I’ve Found an Excellent New (to Me) Romantic Suspense Author
One of the best things about this podcast is discovering new friends. Now, Natalie might not consider me a new friend, but hey. I can delude myself just fine.
I loved our conversation, learning about reading instruction manuals and dinner parties where she picks the brains of her husband’s coworkers and friends. I love it. Exactly what I’d do if I were a more sociable person. 😉
From the location of her first book to the cool agency she’s created in her newest series, we roam the gamut of all kinds of topics related to her books. And… kissing. We talk kissing and how romance is more than hearts and flowers.
We totally agree that a guy helping around the house is the real deal!

Lights Out by Natalie Walters
CIA analyst Brynn Taylor developed a new program to combat terrorism, and she invited members of foreign intelligence agencies to America to foster cooperation between countries. Now one of them, Egyptian spy Remon Riad, is missing.
Jack Hudson has been working for the Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency (SNAP) for almost nine years and takes the lead in hunting down the missing spy. But he isn’t at all pleased to find out Brynn is involved. It’s hard to trust a woman who’s already betrayed you.
Every lead they follow draws them dangerously deeper into an international plot. Kidnapping, murder, explosions, poisoning–the terrorists will do anything to accomplish their goal of causing a digital blackout that will blind a strategic US military communications center and throw the world into chaos.
Can Brynn surrender control to a man who doesn’t trust her? And can Jack ever get over what she did to him? The fate of the world–and their hearts–hangs in the balance.
