When I opened the first chapter of One Fine Day by Carrie Padgett, I had no idea what to expect, really. I’d never read the books Rachel Hauck wrote that inspired this series, so I went in… blind. Well, on the first page, I cracked up. Genius work with a bit of backstory that didn’t feel like an info dump combined with natural humor, and I was hooked.
In more ways than one, this is a second-chance romance that I can’t wait to read… or to listen to. I still can’t decide if I want to read it or snag the audiobook. What thinkest all?
Carrie and I had a great time chatting, and even the books she mentioned told me that I would probably continue to love everything about this book. Besides, who couldn’t love a book set in a place called “Hearts Bend”?
