General Information

Coming in 2012!

Keep Away (Final book in the Aggie Series): I have a lot coming in this book.  There's the long-awaited proposal, wedding plans, their first Christmas, the anniversary of the accident, and the wedding, of course.  There is also a HUGE shocker coming!  I hope my readers forgive me.  My goal is to Continue Reading

Feeling Resolutionary:

On my message board, we did 36 things in 366 days.  We've got them broken down into smaller bites and such to make them doable.  On there, I have a few writing things, but I thought I'd make some resolutions for here too.  There'll be overlap, of course, but I can handle that. 1.  Finish, edit, Continue Reading

If you received an email…

Regarding shipment of books and a problem with them, please disregard.  The problem has been corrected and all books will be shipped tomorrow! Prizes are still forthcoming, but I'm getting there! Continue Reading

Ok, so… Questions?

I need 'em for the Facebook party.  What do you want to know?  Ask here, and I'll answer there.  Just about ten days to go now... Continue Reading

Annals of Wynnewood Take Two?

In the last post, I gave a hint about something possibly in the works.  Well, I'm not sure I'm done with the characters of Wynnewood.  There was so much I wanted to add to the third book-- or the fourth-- but it would have been like the difference between the third Harry Potter book and the fourth.  Continue Reading

Adventures in Ye Olde Englishe

Note: That's totally inaccurate there and I don't really care. It made me smile. So, when writing Wynnewood, I'm always enjoying a little fun in the Old English to Modern English dictionary I found online. Some are interesting.  For example: ability: cræft  (Doesn't that look an awful lot like Continue Reading

I Have Arrived~

I have come full circle.  I know that my books have been on Paperback Swap, but this is the real deal.  My friend Teresa (Book signing gal) found Ready or Not at a garage sale... AND BOUGHT IT for her daughter-in-law.  Crystal claims to have liked it. Continue Reading

Questions from Readers: Part 3

This post has been updated!  The original was for a contest that is long gone, but I thought you might enjoy the questions and answers.  Original post date was Independence Day of 2010!!! Susan K-  Who edits your books and how does that work? Well, that is a complicated question.  Originally, I Continue Reading

Readers Ask Questions: Part 2

This post has been updated!  The original was for a contest that is long gone, but I thought you might enjoy the questions and answers.  Original post date was Independence Day of 2010!!! Nathan (Susan K) - Why are there so many weird words (In Wynnewood)? I wanted to preserve a little of Continue Reading

Feelin’ the Love

So, one of the most amazing things about writing is seeing other people get wrapped up in your work.  I love it when I get a ding from a friend online and read, "Hey, got any more ___" (fill in the blank).  It's just the most amazing thing  to see others not just willing to read what you wrote, but Continue Reading

Book Signing~

Every time I publish a book, friends and I go out to lunch for a "Book Signing."  This time, I came prepared. My friends!  From left to right.  Lupe, Glenda (her husband is where I got the name Verily for Noble Pursuits),  Teresa (my partner in so many "crimes") and me. Signing Lupe's Continue Reading

For ages, None So Blind was my favorite book. I un For ages, None So Blind was my favorite book. I understood Ella in a deeper way than most of my characters. BUT... then I wrote Will Not See. And it became suspense rather than women's fiction with a mini-mystery (how did she lose her memories?). But people going after Vikki? Didn't see that coming. Nor did I see a guy waking up with no memories and a murdered wife (the spouse always does it, right?). Sooo... women's fiction to romantic suspense? Not normal, but let's face it. Whenever have I been normal?
Read em in Kindle, paperback, or "free" through Kindle Unlimited! Individually, or in a box set of the complete collection.

Yeah. It's a thing. Which is weird because I rarel Yeah. It's a thing. Which is weird because I rarely call a book by its title. Past Forward is "Willow." Ready or Not (and the rest) are all "Aggie" (I add 1, 2, 3, 4 etc). None So Blind is "Ella."
The New Cheltenham books are all whatever word changes that year. So I'll talk about "Stars" or "Ghosts" or "Bells." But if I don't have a title I could put on the cover of the book (even if it changes--rarely but it happens--) I can't even write the first sentence. It's dericulous. Um... Ridiculous. Same smell.
Grammar wise, I'd say it's my stupid habit of not bothering to add question marks at the ends of questions. My poor editors. I THINK it's because I get interrupted in the middle of the sentence, come back, and forget it was supposed to be a question. Dont' quote (or question) me on that, though.
If you have a question you want me to answer, leave it in the comments OR... zip me an email at chautona@chautona.com. I'll try to work them in (and will probably combine those that are really similar.

Princess Genevieve’s life seems like a dream. She has a loving family, a devoted fiancé, and a future set in stone. But beneath the perfection lies a secret she has guarded for years, one that could shatter everything if it were ever revealed. When an ancient doctrine resurfaces and threatens the very foundation of the monarchy, Genevieve is forced to face a choice that will cost her more than she ever imagined.

DePeaux men love for life. They only ever give their heart away once. Julian knows his father’s oft-quoted words to be true, because his heart belongs to a woman too. A woman who long ago stole his heart, captured beneath the oak tree as they painted and grew up together. But he can never have her. Because another man’s ring lies on her finger.

With time running out and the truth impossible to ignore, Genevieve and Julian are drawn together in ways that challenge everything they have ever believed. In a world bound by tradition and expectation, they must decide if love is worth the risk of losing their future, their duty, and each other.
